Letitia Eldredge in Ink
Letitia Eldredge is an artist of many media and subjects now living and working in Grand Junction, Colorado. Inspired by her long-standing friend, Jeff Basinger, Letitia moved from Houston to Colorado in May 2002. Here she completes 5 years of preparation to assemble her art for Internet publication.
The Internet is a publication environment uniquely well-suited for display of Letitia’s ideas. For example, on a broad base of fictional personalities and animate characterizations, in A Changing Stories Child Letitia explores her philosophy of the Divine Holy Spirit. as the author of all revelations. Letitia Eldredge’s “Art by Story”, portrays a unique culture in ceramic masks supported by theatrical antics and painting. The identities themselves; names faces, places, architectural spaces, sounds, experiences, naturally and supernaturally derived through her imagination, configure a living documentary. Although Letitia’s techniques of story-telling are autobiographical at the root, it is clear to the careful observer, that the wealth of passion and metaphor in this serial idea opens the way where anyone may enter into her art through their own sense of interpretive creation.
A Changing Stories Child is set in a cosmic perimeter with special distinctions that are sure to collapse in the rapid swirls of Letitia’s articulate fantastical, often erotic, imaginations. Where you start, you will end up, after a very colorful and revealing journey through the mind’s eye of this witness.
Letitia has dedicated her adult life to this rendering. She observes through a magnified intuition, what many other people experience everyday, and yet may never express for themselves. Through the aesthetics process Letitia shares her concrete faith in art as a spiritual necessity, an essence for unveiling truth. Her journey as woman and artist leads inevitably to a virtual world pictured in revelations.
Well-aided by her multitude of crafts, literarily, the viewer is engaged by a remarkable quality of journalistic prose. Theatrical situations depict most ordinary times in an individual’s private emotional life. Letitia materializes an expansive heart room where the visitor discovers alone, a novel new birthplace for their own perceptions.
Concurrent with A Changing Stories Child , Letitia Eldredge is finalizing the first edition of her novel, entitled Birthplace. This book of pictures and text is an assembly of her visions, woven freely dressed in vibrant colors. As with A Changing Stories Child, the book is punctuated rhythmically by a personal language and abstract reoccurring symbols.
